Currently, martial arts schools are required to have a COVID-19 safety plan. Here is an overview of the aspects of the plan that our students and visitors need to be aware of. If you would like to see the full plan, please contact me.
- If students are unwell, they must not attend classes. Students who present symptoms of respiratory illness such as coughing, sore throat or fever etc. will not be allowed to attend classes and will be sent home. - According to government orders, we must have a COVID-19 Safe Hygiene Marshal in distinctive clothing who is responsible for making sure the COVID-19 Safety Plan is carried out at all times and can answer any related questions. This will by myself, instructor Byron Prior. Distinctive clothing will be recognised by the black belt. - Given our current numbers of students, along with parents who enter briefly, combined with the size of the hall, our venue more than caters for the requirement of one square metre per person. - Parents and visitors are required to maintain a minimum of 1.5 metres from other people who are not from their household at all times. - Students must wash or sanitise their hands before and after classes. Hand sanitiser will be available at all times. - Students will be reminded during classes not to touch their face. - Everyone is encouraged to pay with bank transfer rather than cash where possible. Please contact for bank details. - Records will be kept of who attends and visits each class. - Mats will be disinfected in between classes.
